More questions from me haha.  So, off the line this car is great and holds its own very well. At higher speeds however(50mph or so) it seems like it looses alot of its power and its not so great from there.  I have raced two of my buddys 5.0  and I can stay with them off the line from a dig but then they catch up to me and put lengths on me the faster we go.  Also from about a 20mph roll i got tore up but that could also be my fault for driving crappy :)  Ok so here is where my question comes in.  Is this normal for these cars and also what should i look at to improve the cars "higher speed' acceleration.

If you are running a stock or Jeff M chip the fueling as soon as you hit the boost break-over point will run to about 10:1 or less A/F ratio. The fuel being dumped into the cylinder quenches the heat and you lose power.

Or like Jud said...a much bigger turbo to allow more air for the severely over fueled boost tables.

Search these forums for information on getting a chip..  If your car is bone stock, the chip upgrade provides a large boost in overall power.  I ran the JeffM TopGun 160 chip for a few years and at 11 PSI mine had a good air fuel ratio, 11.5-12.5.  Maybe even a little lean.  I guess each car is different.

If you're serious about getting your car to operate at 100% performance, you'll want to get a laptop datalogging scan tool like DataMaster 8F (www.ttspowersystems.com) or Tuner Pro (www.tunerpro.net).   DataMaster is a much better datalogger and easier to use, but costs $90.  Tuner Pro is free/shareware.  Good luck!
