Just curious what type of oil and filter people use.
Typically in my 99 Bu I use valvoline high mileage and a fram tough guard filter, but since my TGP is more performance and only 52k miles, I wasn't sure of a good oil that I should use for it.

I'm running Mobil 1 synthetic 5w30 in mine.  I run 5W30 because it is what the turbo manual says to run.  I'm curious to know what is a good brand of oil to run in our turbos though.  I run Mobil 1 synthetic, because I have had good luck with it in other vehicles.

I was thinking synthetic, but I thought being an older car it might not be a good idea to use synthetic oil, but if you haven't seen any problems with using it, I think I will try that and a mobile 1 filter as well, I hear they are pretty top of the line for filters too.

For an oil filter, I'm running the ACDelco oilfilter that is recommended in the turbo owners manual.

You might want to search the net and read up about those crappy Fram filters. ;)

I use Mobil 1 10w30 in the TGP along with a AC Delco PF52 filter. Every now and then I run the motorcraft eqivalent to the PF52(yeah, I know, Ford product on a Pontiac...blashphemy!  ). ~75K on my car and no oil leaks with the synthetic M1 oil. I typically buy the M1 from Walmart as they have the 5qt jugs on sale all the time for $20.
