NO!

Pull back the insulation to the left and take another picture. The dimple you are looking for looks like a machine press made dimple. It will be about 3/4" or 1" in diameter. What I see in those pictures looks like someone took a pick and hit the floor.

shit, seriously?  i already drilled the hole.

Hopefully you drilled in the right spot, just in case you didn't its nobody's fault but yours. I mention at least 2 times on recent post that the location of that hole is on this site, I found it before I drilled mine, also on the back of the vehicle theres a circular section indicating possibly where to drill. How easier can it get. Hopefully you drilled in the right spot. I posted a pic off of my photobucket, compare to that.

hey, thanks for being a dick.  get out of my thread.

anyhow, i looked through turbosedan's pics.  it's jsut too far away for me to be exactly sure his is the same spot.  plus, his pic is of the hole already drilled.

and yes, i drilled the correct spot.

Sorry to have sound like a dick, But after looking at your picture I  realize that you had drilled it correctly. I posted directly to the future 5 speed swappers, plus you all had me going one person saying yes and one saying no. Agian if you have further questions feel free to ask, promise no attitude

Well I guess when I look at your picture on the top of the page and I see a mark of some sort in the middle of the picture...then NO that is not the right spot.

Last time I showed pictures of something of interest it was in the middle of the photo...not off to the side or in the background. ;)

I don't quite understand what you mean Kenny... the dimple in the middle of his picture is the correct spot, and is the same spot where at least me, jimmy and turbosedan have also drilled. There is a punch out in the engine compartment directly behind it.

While we're on this subject, how are you guys sealing up the hole on the engine side? my cables came with a bushing/hold down plate to keep the passenger compartment sealed, but nothing for the outside.

So you are saying the punch looking dimple in this picture...

Is the same as the location in this picture?
