Well This little gem caught my eye and i had to get it. 450$ needed a battery, has brand new tires on it, still with the nubs, and good glass and runs very well. Drives nice and suspension and steering is tights. has 206k on it with a 3.1 V6. Pretty nice car, pretty fast for what it is too, very surprising, but the exhaust is all rotten and its loud, wich is getting fixed friday.

Sweet 6,000. :icon_cool: Looks like it's got a fairly new alternator on it too. You should upgrade that coffee can intake cannister to a Folger's brand. :icon_lol:

Get board with it sell it. But I really like this one, its a solid car. And fun. The last one i had to sell, it got shitty mileage, uncomfortable, worn out suspension, slow as shit, and then a month aftert i sold it the rear wheel hub/assembly/bearing all like gernaded itself and fell off.

Ok so I had some fun cleaning up the engine bay and powdercoating some things, and i put all new 2 1/4 exhuast with a nice turbo muffler on it to quiet it down.

Sweet. How much did you pay for the powdercoating? Or do you have a DIY setup?

Well, after looking over the car pics, it seems to be in very good condition. There isnt any visable surface rust, and only a small dent on the front passenger side valance fendor area. If you want to upgrade to a full guage package (non-digital) its a real easy swap too. That red interior is bright, and the first 6000 I have ever seen with it too. If you feel adventurous, you can upgrade the front bench seat to buckets or split bench, but you have to weld in a couple studs. If you have any questions, just let me or RareGMFan know. I know those cars only to well.

On my 6000 LE that I just got rid of, at 270k, it was still getting 28-33 mpg. Is the TCC solenoid pluged in? that function alone gives about 2-4 MPG increase.

Thanks! So how would you swap in the upgraded non digital cluster?! I really wanna know about that. And the split bench would be a nice addition, what more is really involved in that?. Im kinda diggin the colum shifter. The TCC is still plugged in and working fine. Im on abody.net but the help thier is very limited as members arnt in great numbers. I also really need the dash peice that goes from the steering colum, around the radio and climate controls, and to the glove box, its a grey color.

I actually have a couple spare peices of those in my shed, somewhere... Next time I go to the junkyard, I will see if I can find you one if you want. There is only one screw holding those things on. Really easy to get.

To upgrade the guage cluster, you'll need to take the screws out of the bezel. You'll find them in the notches in front of the instrament cluster bezel; one in each side, four on top three on the bottom, I beleive. Once that is done, you'll have a few more that hold the cluster itself in place. and then pull the cluster out. Then reverse the order to install. Be careful not to snag the little wire for the shift indicator. It slides out of position easily.

The Speedo, Tach, Fuel, Volt, will work right off the bat. The Oil Pressure Sensor will have to be changed, and the Temp Sending Unit as well. OPS is easy, as its located in the normal location by the oil filter. The TSU is a bit more of a pain. We never changed it in ours cause we didnt want to LOL. But if memory serves me right, its on the rear of the motor, near the exhaust manifold. Check your manual for your 3.1 TGP, it should be in the exact same location. And your done..

As far as the seats go, the inboard bolts for the non-bench seats were never installed on bench seat cars. I am not entirely sure what all has to be done with that, But I know members of the http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/rarefwdgmabody/ board have done it, and it sounded really simple. I think they just drilled a hole in the floor in the proper spot, and put the seat in, bolted it down, put a little rust-oleam over it to prevent rust. And called it a day.
