After reading that I'm thinking I should be running 0w30 OR 5w30 in the TGP as long as oil pressure is still good when it warms up.

Very interesting, excellent write-up.  I have been running 5w30 Mobil 1 synthetic in my TGP since I got it, now I'm considering finding some 0w20 Mobil 1 or Amsoil synthetic to run in it.
