I have seen somewhere an aftermarket ignition module and coils.  Antbody have favorable results?  I think it was Accel or MSD or something. OEM costs way too much.

I strongly advise you not to buy Accel coilpacks.  I bought them for another car and one went bad in only 4 months, and a lot of other people on the internet feel the same way I do.  I've heard that MSD has coilpacks out now, and they have a good reputation unlike Accel.  I've also heard that newer DIS coilpacks on OBDII cars have are stronger(ie higher voltage), but I've never checked it out.  It may be worth a try :)

$25 is too much? You will have good results with any OEM style coilpack, even if its FM, Standard, Borg Warner etc, which can be had in the aftermarket for about $25. However, DO NOT BUY ACCEL COILPACKS. There have been too many failures from this brand.  There really isn't a whole lot of improvement that can be had from the type II ignition on the TGP, and OEM will suit your needs just fine.

Jacobs Electronics also manufactures Type II ignition coils, and warranty them for life. They have a very good rep as well. If you really needed to go with "better" then you could try them.

I don't like the accels due so numerous complaints of failures and arc and poppin when used with dis-2/4.  Whats crazy is i have them in my car now (2- stockers were bad) and they were free.  I am going to upgrade to msd units.   Dis-4 is the ignition upgade 2 use.  I previously used dis-2 in my cavalier for 2 years without problem.   You feel improved throttle response,  car definitely feels stronger on the top end with nos, and its totally adjustable, will run a tach, or shift light etc......
