I think I started that trend some years ago with the coolant bottle relocation. I also have it on mine, did mine some 3 years ago I beleive.

Of course my engine looks alot better now, with FFP mounts, 3800 injectors, cleaned plenum, ceramic coated valve covers, newly rebuilt x-over, and other such stuff.

That would require me taking the car out of storage, which isnt happening until June, and unburying it from the storage bins under it, taking the jack stands out, and all that other garbage..

I got pics of the stuff thou if your interested LOL..

This is how my car looked BEFOR I put everything back into the storage locker last year...

The coolant bottle relocation has been around for a long time. I have pictures of a red TGP that had that coolant bottle swapped in back in 2001 or 2002. I only remember THAT particular car because I was in contact with the owner and was going to buy it, but could not drive all the way across the country to get it at that time.

PS: My red car will be 91-93 coolant bottle swapped later this week. It looks crappy under the hood without the beauty cover and I want to make room for an intake where the stock overflow is now.

just thought I'd update this a bit.

Been working over 60 hours a week the past two weeks, this week, and next, so I've been quite occupied, but should be back to 40 or so soon (racked up about 76 hours last week)

Registered the TGP last week and have been driving her since, mostly because the cutlass is having VSS problems, as well as the ac compressor about to seize up, and I havent had time to fix it (see my hours for last week  ). I drove her over 800 miles this weekend, which was kinda nuts seeing that I haven't driven it more than about 15 miles at a time since I got her all back together. Hopefully this weekend I'm gonna wash both up, get the cutty back to normal, and maybe even get some pics at the new place.

Moral of the story: The TGP is proving to be incredibly reliable (and soooooooooo comfortable for trips)

found my culprit for slamming into reverse, the vac line from the modulator to the check valve. got a new valve and some new hose and it no longer shifts hard, such a relief. also she has new dogbones on  :icon_cool:

However, now I'm noticing 3rd gear is having an incredibly hard time engaging. 1st and 2nd are pretty darn good, so it's kinda confusing as to why 3rd would be doing this. I want/should replace the filter again, since I've been running this filter for a month or so since the swap

Sounds like my tranny when it was on its way out. I had run with a bad vac modulator for so long it took its toll on my tranny.

is the modulator something relatively easy to swap out? or is it fairly extensive?

It is pretty easy, the modulator is on the outside of the transmission.
