TGP magazine scans, dealer info, memorabilia, videos, etc.

I'm planning on adding every TGP magazine article, video, etc. that I come across in this thread. Over the next few days, I'll be adding everything I have at the moment. I want to put only commercials, magazine scans, post cards, factory TGP literature, prototype pictures, and pictures of any other memorabilia in this thread. Please do not add pictures of your personal vehicles, instead, post those in the TGP/TSTE picture thread located a few posts down or make your own separate post in the general section. ;) I'll be hosting a lot of the images on Imagevenue.com and these will be posted as clickable thumbnails. I have a few already hosted on photobucket that I'll be posting as well. If any pictures quit working, I'll rehost them as quickly as possible. Feel free to add to this thread. If you don't mind, host your images at photobucket or imagevenue so that they will remain online(I've had photos on both sites for a few years now that still work!).

I'll start this with these Days of Thunder screen captures showing both of the TGP pace cars. I have more in a very long picture, if anyone wants it, let me know. I pretty much captured a picture of every second the TGP was on screen. :icon_mrgreen:

November 1987 Hot Rod magazine - Grand Illusion article featuring the 305hp 5spd TGP prototype. I borrowed this from Jim(hence the "stolen from turbogranprix.com across the picture :laugh:). I'll replace these with better scans once I receive the copy I just purchased on ebay the other day.

I don't have that yet. Someone here likely knows what magazine(s) that advertisement appears in. That way, we can buy the whole magazine a lot cheaper than that $10+ ad. ;) It's always cheaper to grab the whole magazine than those two-three page ads. I've purchased them in the past though when I wanted to go ahead and get them. :laugh:


TSTE on brochure cover. I didn't scan this one perfectly, so I could not combine the two for a seamless photo...so I just left them separate. I'll attempt to rescan that brochure later.

couple things... WHY O WHY DID GM not come out with the 5spd 305 hp version... WHY... bastards... ><

and on that STE one, I see the light control switch has one that says spec light?? What is that, does that control the brightness of the DIC?? cuz I always drive with my lights on, and I can barely see my DIC or the HUD during the day..

And another thing... damn did they make a lot of different light switches for these cars... lol I wana get one out of like a 91, I remembe in my 91 the dome light would stay on for a min after I shut the door, and when I pulled the handle, even locked, the dome would come on for a few seconds... I learned this was a feature in the switch as when it went bad the lights wouldn't shut off and I had to replace that switch.

Atleast on the HUD, when I bought mine, I also couldn't read it during the day, so I pulled that tab on the HUD to clean the mirrior and that solved mine. you maybe having bigger issues with yours, so good luck

well I can see the HUD, but it is very dim, during the night I almost have to dim it all the way cuz it's way too bright, but the hud dimmer is under the light switch and a different piece all together....  the dic I can't see at all during the day...
