Hi my mechanic says this unit is defective and needs to be rebuilt.  However, he sometimes calls it a "hydraulic unit", sometimes a "Powermaster !!!" and sometimes an "ABS Pump and Motor Assembly".  Which of these terms is correct so that I can order the proper rebuild service on line?

Thanks,
Dom

Dom,

Our cars are kind of old and all three names can be used.  I understand you want to be a "purist" but as for me, I cant wait to convert my to a vacuum set up.

well Cardone will rebuild the ABS Pump and Motor Assembly ($400) or the Hydraulic Unit ($1,100). . . I am trying to figure out how much this is gonna cost me in the end.  They pulled some 12 codes when they tested the brakes.
