How fast have you got your TGP?

No its not that at all.. they should all be limited to 128.  I think some did 132 though.  The 89s are not any faster.

Jeff or somebody posted back in the day that the earliest TGP's would engage 4th @ WOT resulting in higher top speeds(some people here claimed to have hit 150mph or slightly more...). GM revised that and probably swapped out and/or updated those transaxles if the owners toasted 4th gear under warranty.  You could try not going wide open throttle and seeing if you could get past 128mph...but I'm not sure that will work as my cars kickdown if you so much as BREATHE on the gas pedal. Other than that, you can raise the rev limiter/fuel cut(I believe the fuel cut is responsible for our top speed, but I haven't looked at that info in a while so I don't remember for sure...by the way you're not making any power near the limiter anyways, so you would need to mod the car to make more power at higher revs). Other than that, swap in a 5spd! ;)
