Hey guys...

The old beast has been sitting for almost a month now waiting for its new owner, and I pulled it out and started it today.

After it warmed up, there was some smoke emitting from the downpipe (?).  It was the pipe that was coming out of the turbo that had the 'chinese-finger-trap' looking kind of wrap on it.

Anybody have any ideas on to what the hell that is?   :(

thanks,
Zach

It could be coming from an leak that happened while it was sitting.  On my 97 GTP the rear main leaks a little once I start it up in the summer (after 6 to 8 months) It clears up after a few days of driving.

No biggie, just run the engine until it burns off (assuming it is just an leak on the pipe)
