Does anyone know if its easy to swap in a digital dash?  I have a pretty sweet one i just picked up... would be nice instead of the busted inaccurate tgp one.

It should drop in but if you have a 90 tgp you don't have an English metric switch right?  I think 89s have a E/M switch?  I don't remember either way if you don't have it I think you have to run +5 v to a pin on the harness for the cluster otherwise you will have to drive around in metric speed and odometer.  I have an analog cluster in my 88 gpse because those digital clusters are worse off then the tgp clusters, the screens fail all the time.  I have like 4 of them right now (digital clusters) if you need one let me know I can sell one cheep.

Oh and the digitals plug in from the bottom so you will have to move the cluster harness from the side to the bottom but all the cuttouts are there in the ip carrier.  It is pretty simple. and everything should work fine other than the english metric stuff.

thats cool because i was going to put it into the 89 and it has the e/m switch already... that would be awsome if it worked... ill do a prayer.  One thing i noticed, the headlight switch i got from the same car as the digital dash has a odometer reset switch which ive never seen before... should i swap those switches in to or is the TGP wiring non compatible for this?  Thanks again Ken

Yeah you need that switch to reset the trip odometer........so I would switch the switch over if you want that analog cluster......I'm going to go out on a limb here and say GM probably used the same harness for all 89 GP's so it all should plug in and work.........I'm guessing you have an aftermarket boost gauge otherwise you realize you will loose the factory one right......but you should gain a volt gauge with the CS 130 alternator it is a good thing to have.......that thing will screw up at a minutes notice!

Let me know if it works!
