Depends on what you are going to do with the car.  Are you going to the track a lot?  I had a spec 3 clutch and it was downright savage around town for the first part of it's life.  It did not slip at all.  That and it breaks axles like a madman.  I would think a spec II would be a nice street strip clutch for these cars.  I guess it really depends on how much power you are making and how deep your wallet is

im definately going with the spec3... if you dont want to break anything... its called a boost controller LOL going to be badass with that clutch for sure tho.  Im running 15 psi and its torqey as hell... have a spare passengenger side axle and a quickie tool kit for the track just in case and you'll be all set.

jimmy

Well actually I did consider the stage 3 6 puck version, is this the one that you both are refering to?

yep holds enough power to shear an intermediate shaft

yea Ken wheres the best/cheapest place to get that clutch? I need to do this soon.  Just picked up another 282 w/ intermediate shaft 107k last week for spare so if i break anything i wont be totally screwed.

I got mine with an engine but there used to be a guy on ebay selling them under the name of EZClutch.  They are not " spec" brand but they are like 200 bucks or something with the NSK throwout bearing and pressure plate.  It is a 6 puck style.  I'm not sure if they are on the bay anymore but I think they had a website if you google it.

I am a dealer for SPEC. If you get me the part number I will see what your price will be.

That part # SC113 is the Stage 3 not 3+. The 3+ is SC113F. There is a sizeable difference in cost too.

jimmy

I'm definitly going with the 6 puck one, so that would be the SC113. I think this is the one the other guys are using. Yes, and I did notice a price change between the two.  PM me with a Quote on that one. Thanks Kenny.
