Has anyone repinned a 727 to a 749 for 3 bar support? I've just started looking at Code59.org and it got me thinking...

I looked in to it back in 05 but I decided to make my own 3 bar code for the 7727. It worked fine till the motor flew apart and has not been used since... I have found that you can boost the stock code well over 20psi and keep the fueling paramaters in line.. 3 bar is not needed and it was a tremendous amount of work to do it... The 7749 computer will work in our cars with some re-pinning but it is also a lot of work to get right... My advise would stick with the stock code and learn to manipulate it...   ;)

When you say tremendous amount of work, do you mean making your own 3 bar, because it seems to me it wouldn't be too hard to make a harness that would change the pins around. And from the way it looks, the code59 bins are pretty basic.

I have run 18 psi at one point on 2 bar.  Adam is right I have the WB datalogs to prove it.  The AFR flatlines above 2 bar.
Make it fat at that point and you should have enough fuel for as high as you want to go until you frag the motor.

Thanks Ken.. The 7749 $58 or $59 code has several differences than the 8f. The most important in my mind would be the spark reference.. Our 3.1 and 2.8s are 60 degree v6s and the $58 and $59 are set up for 90 degree v6.. Not a hard fix but you will be overwhelmed with all the other changes you will need to make and by that time you are knee deep in it and then it's to late...  ;)
