I sometimes repair and sell the repaired car(s) once everything is sorted out.  In the past I probably wouldn't sell more than 4-5 in a year.  Now that I have easier access to more selections...  I could increase sales to about 15-20 a year.  It would be very helpful with the income since a new job with lesser pay was the current unexpected change in life.
So my question is, what are the limits to how many I can sell in a year without obtaining a used car dealer license in MI?

Please provide proof if you can.  I searched for a while and kept on getting ran around.

You're not supposed to sell any cars with the intent to make a profit in any state without having a license as far as I know. There's usually some limit listed of cars you can sell, but that's also commonly misinterpreted by people. Best thing to do would be to call your local DMV or the like and ask them.

In MN you can't sell more than five cars in any given year without a license.

Yeah, I just couldn't figure out a way to work in the one member who claimed that adding a valance to his lightbulb kept it from overheating...

In OH it is 6. But after that, you start putting your wife's name on them, friends names, etc...
