Ok so I just had my Powermaster rebuilt and installed at a garage. After I got on the road the anti-lock light came on and then when i would press the brake pedal the red brake light would come on. It was functioning but then brake pedal would get hard. I immediatly took it back to the shop where they rebled the powermaster and air did come out of it. They also rebled the rear brakes where some air came out. It was working better but still not 100%. The brake lights also stay on unless you lift up on the brake pedal. They said it will probably have to go to the dealership so they can bleed it there.

Anyone have any input to help me?

Edit: they said the unit is functioning correctly.

Is it the ANTILOCK light or the BRAKE light that is on?

The BRAKE light will turn on when your parking brake is on.

Also, if the ANTILOCK light is on, is it on steady or flashing?

The brake light also means the pressure has dropped below a certain point or fluid level has dropped.

Go to the powermaster III section, VERY helpful!

the anti lock light is on, it will turn off is you turn the key on off on off. the red brake light comes on when you press the pedal. when you press the pedal it will be normal then get super hard or vice versa.

does it matter if they put too much brake fluid in in it? is it possible it needs to be bled more? they said something about alldata saying you have to pressurize the system.

It sounds to me like you still have air in the system.

How often does the pump cycle when you press the brakes?  The pump should run every 3-5 presses of the brake pedal.  If it runs every time you press the pedal, you need a new accumulator.

what is the problem when you put on a new accumulator and it still gives a code for low accumulator code 62. after about 20 minutes of driving the abs light will flash and give a code 62. when the lght is one the motor cycles for just a second or 2, it sounds like it is chattering. the system has 116,000 miles and i just put a new accumulator on it.

ok, so i guess it has worked out whatever its problem was.... but the anti lock light is still on... goes between being steady sometimes, flashing sometimes and off sometimes.

That's not bad at all for having it rebuilt + installed considering most places used to want that just to rebuild it. Who rebuilt your unit?
