Well I replaced my 02 sensor today, and god damn my car feels fucking brand new!  :D  8)  After all the problems I had for the past 2-3 months, a fucking $20 oxygen sensor caused most of it.

Oh well, I think my car loves me again

So how long does your O2 sensor usually last before you have to replace it?

Mr. Mod Man

Depends on if you have a good egr tube or a cracked one. Same with the crossover pipe that goes to the turbo. Did you upgrade yet?
TopGun160,x-pipe,TB coolant bypass, new stock injectors, coils,Taylor Spiro-pro 8mm,Iridium,Monster 2 gauge cable from alternator to charge post, new vacuum/boost lines
latest upgrades: ceramic brakes, Hyperground wires, Prior Reman. Powermaster III ABS
coming soon: pillar pod, alcohol injection, Blow-off valve

I changed my 02 last week and it made a world a difference.  The idle is 5X's better (still not right), the car doesn't stumble as much (but still has some hesitation), the car actually idled for 10 minutes in park without cutting off :D !  The only things i have left to replace are the crank sensor, and injectors.  24lb injectors are on there way.

What kind of O2 sensor is everyone buying?

It says $17.99 but when i got to the register it was $12.99, all I had to do was splice the connector.  PS! solder will not work!!!

I bought a NAPA one and it did wonders. Then I read somewhere on here that they run best with the stock O2 sensor so I went and bought one from the dealer and it did make the car run a little better. I can see why it would make a difference. The stock one is a lot larger on the end that is in the exhaust passage that the napa one is.

The stock ACDelco O2 is the best for the TGP's  ACD# AFS-22  GM#25162753.
As for fuel injectors the AC delco's are again the best... Jeff has spent many hours on the phone with people who tell him that they have replaced their injectors and are still having problems only to find out that they didn't use AC's and the car doesn't run right...
believe me I've tried to cut every corner to save a few bucks and alway end up spending more to fix it right... but you decide...

my 02 had a slit in it so I had to do something.  I will replace it with a stocker when i replace my injectors.  The dealer quoted the injectors at $85ea for a total of $535 with tax  !  accel 24lbs are $175 what do  you do? :?
