Here is the guy I have been speaking with.  Says the car is runs fine and has a list of receipts for it.  He has owned it since 94 and most of its life was garaged but outside now.  Hood is a little crunched and the passenger fender looks like it has a dent in it.  He said he is looking for $3500 for it right now.....I asked him for his bottom line price.  Car looks good for the age but his prices is off base.  Has cloth interior which looks nice, sunroof and 140k on the clock.

FWIW the car was on ebay about 4 years ago and it only made it up to 1500 or so.  That car has popped up on craigslist a few times since then, I've seen him list 6000 then a bit less.  I haven't spoke to him but judging by what he is/was asking, he'll probably have the car for a long time.

However, the car is very close to me, so if anyone is seriously interested, I can go check it out for you.  Just send me a pm since I am rarely on here anymore.

I just went and look at this car this morning.  It is rough to say the least.  I didn't take pictures, you wouldnt want to see them.

The car actually has 153k on the clock.  Interior is ok, sun faded with the headliner falling down and the door pannels falling off.  Paint is dull, very dull and falling off the trunk and the C-pillars.  Further the original owner put an old school cell phone in the car which is mounted through the trunk lid (yes they drilled holes through the trunk lid!).  It is also missing the rear TGP emblem.

The passenger fender has dings in it and the hood is rotted and crunched on top because he backed into the car with his plow truck.

The PMIII needs an accumulator as the pump runs whenever you hit the pedal once, the brake light also goes on when you do this and if you pump the brakes too much the ABS flashes too.  He has never replaced the PMIII or serviced it he says.

The battery tray is rotted to shit and will need cutting and welding.  The tires are either bald or dry rotted or some combination of the two.

The good news is the wheels are in good shape.  All the body is there.  The sunroof works.  It has a front valance on it although it does hang low almost touching the ground it is resting on but that is probably because the front tires are flat.

It has had the subrame retainer recall done and the trailing arms while having surface rust are solid.  He had it garaged or covered for years until recently when I think he just gave up on it.

The other good part is when he connected the battery the damn thing started right up, said he hasn't started it in years.  He says he replaced the turbo on it at some point probably back in 97 or so when it had around 90k miles on it?

The rear exhaust manifold is leaking pretty bad and the crossover has been repaired in a new way I have never seen lol.  He had a muffler shop not only leave the cracked bellows on but took larger diameter pipe, cut it in half and clam shelled it around the bellows effectively making it a rigid pipe lol.  He was very proud of this repair stating he wasn't going to pay for the Jeff M crossover.  He didn't understand why it needed the flex joint when I told him it was there for thermal expansion of the pipes he went silent.  He doesn't know much about these cars.

It is stock down to the air filter and is complete.  He is the second owner and has had it since 94'.  I told him I would give him $1,000.00 for it and even at that I don't think I would have bought it.  He thought for a minute and said he can't go that low and he would rather restore it.   It is just too far gone IMHO unless you have a parts TGP to fix it up with.  I am willing to bet he would do $1500 if you had the cash in hand.  I think it is worth saving but it will take a lot of work and a paint job.  Both of which won't make it worth that much in the end because of the mileage.

Sorry I didn't get pics, I wasn't interested and I wanted to get away from that car before it discouraged me from getting another TGP lol.

I have a line on a much nicer well known TGP but I'll keep my mouth shut until it goes through.  I'm in negotiations now....
