I am in the process of putting a HHO setup on my TGP.

I have a 90 TGP, Yellow top injectors, topgun chipped, cat removed, K&N and Walbro Fuel Pump.

I want to put HHO on ASAP. I am capable of making a setup myself but for $100 there are nice kits on ebay.

Does you have any advice on what to buy or how to install for optimum fuel efficiency increase.

Does anyone have results based on a current setup?

Lets start a Sticky Tread going.

Thanks
Jonathon

Make sure you dont use 304, use 316 SS.  If you dont it will work terrible, draw too many amps and get gunked up in no time.  KOH works really good as an electrolyte, just bench test to get right mixture/ measure amps to make sure they arent too high.  the better the system , the more gas it will make, lower amps it will run at and less often you will have to clean the plates.

Please explain more... I understand general construction of these... I wonder wether its worth building a custom one myself or just buy one thats made well.

not sure about 304 or 316 ss?

i understand i need to add electrolytes, but what is optimum??

I understand i can use plates or coils inside, but i don t understand if simply 12 volts in is good or if i need to convert any voltages?

also i plan to create custom tuned chips. One for performance and another that will allow minimal gas usage with primary HHO Gas.

you dont need to rewire anything, the cell runs off 12V , pos + negative.  the amount of electrolyte determines how much amps are generated.  too much, amps too high, too low, vice versa. Obviously if the amps are too high, it can melt the wires but if the guage is thick enough it will just boil the water at a higher temp needed, therefor just producing mostly steam... not what you want. If you wait about a week ill have mine up and running... it came with instructions, exact amount of koh to add... bottle of Koh is $6 from the supplier.   Shouldnt have any problem.  It will be going in my truck!

Please link me to your supplier. I want to get the parts needed to make this or buy a pre made one, I think all the parts are easy to find except the electrolytes, i was told to use baking soda??

I just read the thread on W-Body and I will be getting involved with this one as well Sorry I haven't started sooner.

I have an understanding of the construction but need help with optimum electrolyte mixtures.

I have used straight vinigar and had very good results. It takes the thinking out of mixing.

start out 2 teaspoons of KOH per gallon of distilled water.  Amps should be no higher than 15 (also make sure you add a 20 amp in line fuse to power source)  add water or KOH if amps they are too high or too low.  When unit is cold, amps will be lower than normal, when it warms up to normai operation temp it will be higher.... keep in mind when checking amps and determining proper mixture while monitoring cold.  Also it is recommended not to run these things for over 2 hours without shutting off/ cooling..  Keep in mind if this is wired to a switch, DO NOT forget to shut off or your intake will be full of gas when you go restart your car... the intake could technically blow off the car!  Also recommend using a safety check valve in between the tube and HHO unit.

can either of you show me a picture of your setup? im still wondering if i should make my own or buy a prefabbed one. is a mason jar big enough and/or a good idea??

Also what type of fuel result are you getting and on what vehicle? tgp?

NTRCOOL

Just rebuilt my hho generator, just need to wire it up. This one will not be going back in a tgp I have another design ill show pics soon for or search joe cell hho on youtube.
