Why?

I have no idea why this thing does so bad on fuel. engine/turbo have ~112,000 on them

When COLD it is a massive bitch to get started, takes 5 trys or so. then will run perfect, and start just fine till its cold again.

Cone filter
160* t stat
ford yellow top injectors

scantool says everything is fine, CTS reads what it should, car seems to perform fine otherwise.

any ideas/things I should check?

When it gets to the point where it starts, does it start but sounds like it starving for fuel?

White93z34

nope it will just jump to life and idle fine. should also mention that it has a brand new fuel pump/filter in it as of last year as well. pretty new denso o2 sensor too.

figure i'd post an update... replaced the O2, that took care of the hard starts and brought my fuel economy from 10-11mpg avg to around 15-16average. Car is put away for the winter now... but is that normal for a TG160 TGP? I feel it should do better then that quite frankly.

I didn't have a TopGun in mine, but I was averaging a pretty consistent 22 mpg with mostly city driving in my TGP when it was stock with a Jeff M x-over and C302 yellowtops.

Sounds like I might be having the same issue ac delco 02 sensor thanks for the info

Fred931

This was my issue as well, but I also had a high idle, but the IAC was broken at the same time.

I'm getting 16MPG with pretty much exactly White's setup, minus new fuel pump. At the same time, I usually drive the car three miles a day to school and back, so that's respectable.
