Is there any way to "tighten" the front calipers?  There is play between the capliper and the caliper guide.  Main question being could I "tighten" it somehow as opposed to getting a new caliper / guide?

The symptom is that when the car goes over a bump there s a loud clank from the front end.  Thought it might have been sway bar bushings or "A" arm bushings be clearly see therer is too much play in the front brakes.

Thanks,

Where is the play? The caliper should float on the pads, and the caliper bracket should firmly hold the pads. IF the pads are clanking in the bracket, there should be IIRC some clips to keep them from making noise. If the caliper is clanking on something, then you will most likely need new slides, a caliper shouldn't be neccesary for what you describe.

Probably the slides, have not had the time or "gumption" to change them yet.  Thanks for the response Chris.
