I've been arguing with a guy on the Corvette forum about the TGP and TSTE. He says they handle crappy and are slow, blah blah blah... But anyway he had also mentioned 3 production colors for the TSTE. I called BS. He says Mclaren made 3 black TSTE's for the show car circuit and then sold them as regular production. Does anyone know anything about this? Anyone seen one?

I saw a black STE a few years ago, but I think it was a DOHC model.  I saw a black STE with factory gold wheels (different than our honeycombs) once in the auto trader.  That one was also a DOHC.

I saw a burgundy TGP and it didn't look repainted.

Mine is maroon.  They only came in white and maroon, with the maroon ones being few and far between.  In fact, I've only see 5 on the road/on the internet in my whole life.   Seen a ton of white ones though.  Thats why I drove 15 hours to get my TSTE...because of the color!  Never see/heard of any black ones though.
