door lock

I just bought a remote for my keyless entry, but the driver side door lock doesn't respond to the open close button on my doors. So i knew i was gonna have to get it fixed, but then i find out the part the mechanic called the "ear" is a discontinued part. Does any1 know where i could find the diagram or picture of the inside of the tgp driver side door? I need to know what to get before hitting the scrap yard.
