HUD doesn't work

I just got another TGP and the HUD doesn't seem to work.  It turns on and everything is all lit up(i.e. 188mph/kph,turn signals, etc.).  It also doesn't dim like it should when I turn on the head/parking lights.  I haven't taken it apart yet, and I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem.  I would guess that the previous owner forgot to plug a connector in, but who knows.

they might have either missed a connection, or crossed a connection, just get a wiring diagram of the system, and go from there

I have the factory service manual and I can help you out...they have a whole section on the HUD....very worthwile book.  Does it dim through the dimmer switch?  Does the speedo work, or does it stay in test mode all the time?

It dims with the dimmer switch, and it stays in test mode all the time.

Probably the wiring is screwed up or a bad connection.  The speed input wire is A9 and the park lamps signal wire is A3.
