Brake master..oh man!

I have my motor/transaxle pulled and decided to replace the master cylinder. Prior is out of cores , so you have to ship them yours..approx 2 week t/around. I'm on the list...Ready for this $659 !! includes accumulator. While on brakes...I'm upgrading the rear setup with a '95 GP calipers, rotors, brackets, bolts, etc. I may powder coat a few things or cad plate some hardware before installation.

Why the bend over! THese things are getting desireable I guess, or folks are getting them and not returning the cores!!!!

Oh, I was afraid you would take that the wrong way.

Not meaning you, but in this world, alot of folks will buy something that has a core and not return the core. On ps pumps and alternators its one thing, but on PMIII's and TGP Crossover pipes its another. With just a few cores in circulation, one or two people not returning them will cause prices to go up as the companies have to account for increased demand and resources for on the spot rebuilding and turnaround.

Hi Chris I didn't take it the wrong way at all LOL. Jackie at Prior said that 2 sensors went up in price big time , plus these masters are now at least 10 yrs in service and the dealer price is forcing buyers to use great people like Prior. Actually I do not mind the price. They give a warranty and besides we all save a ton of money doing the work ourselves. I can't wait for ther rear upgrades, then the exhaust system upgrade. I meant Red. I sent one of my cores out to prior for him, so he didn't have any down time and he hasn't been able to get it back to me yet, so he thought the 'return their cores' comment was to him. (i think)

Could be the pressure switch they are referring to, the only other thing they should service would be the solenoids. Considering the dealer cost for the item seperate, plus the warranty, Prior is still a great value. (new accumulator, pressure switch, reman pump motor big bucks at GM all included in prior)

Dont feel bad, My master just went out in Chicago traffic.... Just outta curiosity, can I get rid of this crappy PMIII setup for a regular master cyl from my 89 SE parts car, or am I doomed to crappy antilocks.
