Title: Inner Driveing lights?
Post by: RedZMonte on April 30, 2003, 02:38:02 PM
1 of them is out. I noticed on both of them there is an orange thing in the housing itself just rolling around... Is that some sort of cover or part of the bulbs or wtf is that? are they supposed to be amber lights when they are on or white (my 1 good one is white)? I assume they are a amber filter that just fell off?

Yeah, there is an orange filter that tends to break off.  Supposedly, it's pretty common, but both of my '89s still are all orange.

Shyt.. any way of getting them out or do i have to pull the light apart?

Maybe a good new placement for some strobes...

They probably aren't broke. Pull the light valley cover off. There is one 10mm bolt behind the foglight to take out. Then roll the light forward and lift up. Look inside the light and you will see how they go together. There are 3 prongs that the orange cover clips into. Get some mini needle nose pliers and you can put them back in place.

They were put in there to give the TGP "Euro" style fog lamps.  :? Personally..I think they look terrible, so removing them will be one of my 2 exterior appearance mods (the other being exhaust tips). Keeping the rest stock  :D
