engine rebuild kit. It acts strange the last month it's been running great. then I was running it hard for a day. now it sounds like it's grinding when I'm accelerating. it's just a rougher acceleration. It was like that a few months ago then it smoothed out but now it's back. it's not just the sounds either  when I start to push the pedal it would give be alittle hard to push then it would get easy and take off fast. there was no inbetween it was a sloooow take off or alittle faster than most cars. now it's like the pedal just goes down easy and there is no jump.  I hope you can make since of that. now that I think about it last time it cleared up after I put octane booster in it. maybe dirty injector??     maybe this should be in problems and sulutions.

Grinding noise?...That would definately would not be the injectors.  Did you break your motor mounts...maybe the pullies are rubbing against the plastick cover from the fenderwall. Check for any rubbing anywhere near the pullies. But if its comming from inside the engine...well..I don't know. Have you checked your oil...is it too thin(like water) and smell like gas?

Sounds like your engine is realy dragging ?ss...

In neutral does it rev up nicely without any miss(up to 3k rpm)?

Any engine knock?
Engine lights?

no knock or engine light. I'm doing a oil change today. I'm thinking it might be a slight mis not really a grinding . just a roughness. I've had pobs with one cylinder it the past faling up a plug. I'm going to check it.

Hi  Also look into your ign modules and or coils especially with the mileage and erratic pattern. Even a dirty ground will screw you up. You may also want to install a magnetic drain plug to monitor any metal breakdown. Keep in mind cylinder one which can be oil starved easily with lo oil is prone to early failure. Good luck.
