i need a picture to install my boost controller. i dont no which is vacume or anything. does antone now how to help me?
you haven't given enough info for anyone to help, are you talking about a brass valve, it simply goes goes between turbo outlet and wastegate?
which is outlet and which is wastegate? where are they on my turbo?
I hate to sound discouraging, but you sure you not getting in over your head? If you don't understand the basic operation of the boost controller and where to hook it, you might damage your engine. You still didn't say what type of boost controller you have. there are two nipples for connecting the hoses too, one down below on outlet of turbo the feeds intercooler, the other on the can shaped device with rod coming out of it, waste gate control. but you need to know what type of boost controller your installing, to know which connection of boost controller goes to which connection on car. Didn't your car come with hoses already hooked tothese ports? didn't boost controller come with any directions.
it came with instrutions but not for my paticular car. i know where th 2 hoses go but ii think it should also go back to where it is now in the front of the intake manifold.
Are you jeffm chipped, if not you are wasting your time and money, as you will hit the fuel cut off and wish you had never done it!!!   :drinking:
i do have jeffs chip. OFCORSE!
This should help if you're using the cheap brass "check-valve" type controller. http://www.home.earthlink.net/~turbogus4/boostcontrol.html
thanks that helped alot. i will let you know how it works. right now i am running 15.8 hopfully faster soon!!!!!!!!!!!!
that link for some reason, wasn't working.
If I'm thinking correctly, that site belonged to a turbo dodge guy, the late Gus Mahon? Gus was a guru in the tuning of older turbo cars and the boost controller described on his site was an exact plan as the turboXS type check valve, without the $80 price tag. You may be able to find the same info by doing a search for team-g-force on google. Gus was very close with the g-force guys.

just do a search for "g-valve" or "g valve" boost controller on google if the above link is no longer working, there are tons of sites that explain how to make/install those although I don't think they're very beneficial to TGP's unless yours is already chipped, you can adjust the wastegate rod(if it's adjustable..never had/looked at a TGP motor so I do not know) for more boost..but as I said earlier it's not going to be beneficial and adjusting the wastegate rod often will weaken the spring in the wastegate housing from what I'm told.
