Title: Oxygen Sensor part number?
Post by: PCarter on May 28, 2003, 07:34:49 PM
Does anyone know the part number for the O2 sensor for the 1990 Turbo Grand Prix?

Mine has become fouled and need to replace and I don't want to get the wrong one.

Thanx......

Thanks for the input idBeast.  Replaced it today and it made a huge difference in the running of the car.

The reason for replacing it was due to the familiar X-over pipe problem.  A trans shop had worked on my tranny and forgot to mount the exhaust system hangar on the back of the engine.  Consequently, a gasket cracked and they had to fix it.  In the process they removed my X-over pipe for inspection and found the flex joint leaking.  They wouldn't go the $1400 dealer price for replacement, so I went to a local custom muffler shop and had the flex joint replaced with a better one for $114.  (Sorry Waskie, I couldn't afford your part right now).  I knew that the O2 sensor was probably bad due to the input from this forum, so even though I was not receiving any diag codes I knew it needed replaced.

This forum is at the very TOP of my list!!!  Lots of input from people who CARE!

Again THANX.........

Waskie doesn't sell the x-over pipes.  Jeff M. does.

Waskie is just a putz that now owns an import... J/K Waskie. :moon:
