This may be a repost so excuse me if it is.
Had reciently purchased the PN 12498649, Performance rear trailing arm kit from GM Parts Direct, for my 1997 GTP. Received them today and just for fun I thought I would see if it fit on my 1990 STE......It is an exact fit. Will be purchasing anouther set for $31.50 from GM Parts Direct for my 1990 TGP in hopes to tighten up that rear end some. 8)
Cool :D
I bet the BMR kit for the 97+ GPs would fit then too! :)
What exactly does the kit consist of?
What is a BMR? :bag:
Go to GM Parts Direct and type in the PN a description will follow
Thanks, I'll try it now.

BMR is a company that makes heavy duty trailing arms, plus other suspension components, for the later generation GP's. They are nice but very spendy compared to the GM parts.

Correct. Here's the website: http://www.bmrfabrication.com/ The trailing arm kit they have is a bit pricey, but they look nice :) Their STBs are nice too, but I doubt the one they have would fit the TGPs without modification.
How hard would it be to put these on? Is it a simple unbolt and bolt or is it more involved? Never hurts to upgrade for $40.
For the trailing arms on the GTP it's just a simple unbolt and bolt operation so I'm sure it's the same for the TGP although I haven't looked under the car to check it out.
so if it works on an ste, it will work on a tgp right?
Yep!!
Does anyone know if the lateral arms on the newer GPs are close in length?
have fun w/ the trailing arm upgrade. my bolt were all siezed, had to cut all of them off, it wasn't pretty, its the right size and all I just think the rubber seized to the bolt by going into the roll pin. Fortunately, the upgraded ones have a completely closed pin.
