Title: Injectors
Post by: turbo90gp on June 14, 2003, 07:21:35 PM
Im in possible need of injectors.  Cylinders not firing.  Should I stick with stockers or go with a different flow rating/brand?

stockers are prone to leaking so i suggest getting the accels for wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy less money!  and the work effortlessly!  I got 24lb.  22lb though are the right spec.

only 40 a pop?   im thinkin bout doin all of mine at that price  when i got prices on them at the auto parts store they were 80 each! :x ! but according to their formula i should get like 24 lb/hr  or if i want to plan ahead for all my mods i need like 30 lb/hr  injectors

I can honestly tell you that the stock fuel settings in the TGP ecu is running soooo rich that even if  you went with 21Lb injectors you you would not run lean.  I would just make sure and get a fuel pressure guage and brand new fuel pump and you should be okay.

I had a problem with my injectors on the GTP.  one was stuck open and pumping fuel all the time.  I sent them to "the Injector perfector" (check online).  They cleaned them, and pattern spray and flow are within 2% of each other.   All for a fraction of the cost of new ones...

worth checking into, I'm real happy with the work.
