Title: plastic welding
Post by: GPChief on July 03, 2003, 03:20:20 PM
Is there a peocess to "weld" plastic.  someone was kind enough to rip my nose piece in two this A.M.  Or do I need to just get a new nose piece?

Yes there is a process for doing it, check with your local body shops and see if they know of somewhere that does it. there is a shop south of Tacoma WA and that is all they do!!!!!!!!!! :drinking:

ABSOLUTELY! As idbeast said, you should be able to find someone who does it. They usually deal with aftermarket new body parts as well so you may be able to look in the yellow pages for aftermarket body parts.

A place near me did an amazing job on a front nose. Its pricey though as they usually only do it on a flat rate repair process, regardless of the severity of the rip.

Thanks fellas.

After waiting 9+ months to take delivery of my TGP I was a little P.O.ed at one of my guys when he pushed the car off the trailer without refilling the fron tires with air....rip, rip there goes the front piece.
