I found out today that my TGP has a cracked block. After $2,200 went into a new head and head gasket, I find out that the block is cracked. How wonderful!
SO...where can a get one and how much?
I have too much invested in this car to just give up on it.
Finding a used TGP engine is going to be quite hard. I would reccomend finding a 3.1 na that needs a refreshing, and have it rebuilt to TGP specs. Then you get a fresh engine and hopefully no more headaches.

How do you know for sure its a cracked block? Dam seems like you hit a streak of bad luck on the engine.
This cracked block post reminds me of someone who had given away thier TGP on the old site. I wonder who ever got the car?

Why don't you list the symptons, let this form see why they say your block is cracked. Sounds like there alot better mechinics on here than the one your using.
Have they pressure tested, oil in water, water in oil. You can have the oil and water sampled by people that supply air compressers. Used to do it once every three or four months.
From what youv'e been through I think they saw you comming and are out to drain your bank account. With an engine chang they will want your first born. :(
