Title: Where to mount toggle switches?
Post by: 90TGP on July 25, 2003, 10:13:11 AM
Anyone have any ideas on where I can mount my toggle switches? I'm borrowing this picture from Chris Aldridge [www.turbogpgarage.com]. Hope you don't mind. [:)]

I bought some light up toggle switches from radio shack. They have a small red led in them. I'd like to mount them where you can see them at night all lit up and looking purdy. But also easy access from the drivers side.

I was thinking maybe in the little area directly infront or directly behind the shifter.

How would I remove my center console? Does the DIC come out so that I could use a dremel to make some holes in the console?

Post pictures of your toggle switch locations!

I put some of my switches in the ash tray in the center console where you have the option of being seen or not. Most of my switches are fit into the little box next to the tape player. I guess where the tapes(?) would be stored if i still had a tape player. If you got the little black rocker switches that come in Red, Blue, Green, etc... with a dremel tool you can cut a hole in the back of the "box" and then sand the sides of the "box" a little bit and they fit perfectly in there. You can fit about 6 or 7 in there pretty easily.
