DOes anyone else have a problem of the ceiling lining falling down? Mine falls down just far enough in places to hit me in the head and feel like there are flies buzzing around. I imagine some 3M spray adhesive should work but anyone else have a suggestion? Also any tips for making sure not to get wrinkles in it when you put it back up?
putting a new headliner in is really easy. I did it last summer on my 89' GP. Just find a company online that sells the headliner and buy 2 cans of 3M spray adhesive. Tear your old headliner off, it will leave a foam residue on the board. (BTW, the headliner is held on by the sunroof, trimmingj, and a few industrial strength velco strips). Use a brush with strong bristles to rub away any of the foam on the board to get it really clean. Lay the headliner across the board to start off, don't put the adhesive on there yet. Fold one side back, spray the adhesive thoroughly on the board on one side and then use a scrap of the headliner to smooth out the glued part. Do the same on the opposite side. Just because i am paranoid about the headliner drooping again, i folded all the sides over, glued, and duct taped it all on the back side. Probably wasn't necessary, but didn't hurt.
