Title: Injectors
Post by: god910 on July 29, 2003, 09:59:01 AM
Does anybody know the stock L36 injector size.  The po of my TGP fried one when the fuel pump went out, and he thinks these problems may be stemming from there.  I have a set of L36 injectors I was considering having rebuilt so I could put them in there.  (They are good, but I don't want to take a chance.  I'd rather just check them out.)  From the sounds of it I'm gonna have to have my chip reprogrammed anyway, so that's not a problem.

 ....what engine are you trying to put L36 Injectors in? The stock L36 Injector size is 22lbs (unless it is a pre-95 L36).

There is a TGP chip being developed for larger injectors, but it is not ready yet.

I was going to put them in the TGP, so since they are the same size that would be perfect wouldn't it?  (It's a Series 2 3800)

Yeah, L36 injectors are 22 lbs.  So, you're right that they be good to use.  L36s are awesome engines as they can use all of the L67 aftermarket parts.  I just helped my brother swap an L36/4L60E combo from a '96 camaro into his '92 S-10.  He wanted something different(ie not a small block).  We decided that a 3800 SII was the best engine for the job.  Anyways, just though I'd share  :D
