Title: Oil Pump parts number???
Post by: 90TGP on August 04, 2003, 12:06:37 PM
I think my oil pump is starting to go. My oil pressure is around 60 and jumps towards 80 under normal acceleration. It used to stay at 60 under hard acceleration and drop down to 40 when at idle. I first though it was the oi pressure sensor, so I replaced it. But then it came back. So I'm just going to have my pump replaced [not to mention it's 13yo].

So, does anyone know the parts number for a 3.1 Turbo oil pump?

Anyone know how much an oil pump costs new?

Thanks

Well, I just noticed that it's leaking oil slightly, very little oil. It's not the oil drive seal because I had that replaced with the cross-x pipe.

Someone mentioned it might be the gauge itself. How would I go about checking the actual gauge to see if it's working properly?

You can get these pumps aftermarket. I believe its a mellings 95HV, for high volume. This is the aftermarket upgrade. If you need more oil than this, you got problems!

Anyway, it would be a standard 3.1 oil pump with HV after the number. I could look it up, but so could you
