I would suggest calling a machine shop. They should be able to get them for you.

Here is part of Mahle's site that list all distributors in the US, don't know about Canada. P/N is 2760-xxx. I have a set of new standard cheap if your are interested PM me.

If you cant find a distributor that will get them for you let me know and I'll
give you my supplier's phone #. I am sure they would ship to you if you pre paid.

well my quest to find Mahle pistons for the 3.1 turbo so far has not got me very far........ i have called a few places in Canada and there all Diesel shops and can't help me

i have called a few places in the USA and still know one seems to have any clue about mahle pistons for the 3.1 turbo.........

can someone hook me up with a supplyer or something???????

if not i guess i will have to go with TRW pistions, there are easy to get in these parts but i would really like Mahle all the writeups i have read clame good things

thanks

Yeah, neither did my machine shop.

You can't ask for Mahle pistons for a 3.1 turbo. You have to give them the part number.n Mahle pistons are stock in alot of GM vehicles. So the MAHLE part shouldn't be that odd, its the 3.1 turbo part.

I can order them through my machine shop if you want me to. The set cost around $150. Email me if you need me to do this

Don't bother with TRW pistons.

Chris, $150.00 for mahle pistons is a rip off. I paid less then $100.00 for a set of std and then .040 over.      Why does everybody try to gouge the TGP owners. :(

Well guy's I was going to do that when this thread started but couldn't find the receipts. Had to leave for Dallas on a mini vacation early Saturday morning. Got rained out big time so we came home. I haven?t checked with these guy?s about shipping but I can do that Tuesday if you guy?s want . Saves a long distance call. I am sure they will but for how much I don?t know. They weight 494 grams each + the box. About 7# off the top of my head. They will not take a credit card or paypal........

You have the p/n

Still can?t find the receipt but they were either 92 or 98 $.

Gotta ask you guy?s a question. Did you think I said Chris was a ripping off Davis or the company he would buy them from was ripping him off. Need to know if I said it wrong.

Still have the Std pistons. Guess Davis didn't want them. I am asking 50 + shipping. Less than 10 to the US. They have been balanced at 493-494, grams installed on  rods and removed.
There are no scores on the pins as rods were heated in both processes.

Here?s the info on Joeys and pistons. They do not ship. :(  But there is an alternative. I could pick them up and ship them for you. I guess what that boils down to is you would have to pay me and I would order, pickup and ship. There delivery is a few hours after order is placed so your looking at me shipping a day or two after you ordered. Not going there in late afternoon it would take me hours to get home. They don?t stock them they get them from a Mahle distributor whom I can?t buy from. (wholesale only to jobbers)

Price for 027260 xxx is $98.00 (any size to .040)
Tax                                    8.09
Gas                                    4.00 Its 40 minutes away in the ghettos of West Houston
Armed protection  :2gunfire:                        I take my own.
Shipping. Less than 10 but dependent on zip code.

If a couple of you guys get together, split the gas.

Best I can do. Sorry they don?t ship.

Funny Jim         But really the only thing we worry about is the wanna be cowboys with the huge pick-ups and 300# of cattle gaurd on the front. :hick:

Glad to do the piston deal. Time is something I have plenty of. Guess I better oil my weapon.

yes those are scarry, we have a few of them up here, I just tell the drivers that "the differance between a cowboy and a rodeo star is that with the rodeo star the BS is on the outside of his boots"!!!

Bummer you got hung out on that set of standard balanced pistons, If you don't sell them maybe in a little while I can take them off your hands...

Bummer, those would have been nice to have sitting around with all my other stuff, I had to laugh when Jeff M came to the west coast for a visit, he walked into my garage, 28X28 with 2 TGP's and a TSTE and 2 spare motors and trannys, and a whole corner of the garage dedecated to TGP stuff and he said chris a has the web site turbograndprixgarage, but this is the real thing!!!
