My car is throwing a code 43 and nothing else....it has been running good for a while and then started to die and not idle when your in park...but it runs fine everywhere else and looses bottom end power again....i konw its the knock sensor code but how bad is that ...thanks for your help
It idle it probaly doesn't matter, but just to clarify, what octane are you running?
91 premium....always. It has never done this before and it has a noticable loss of power from about idle to 3500...i tried clearing the memory and doing an idle relearn but that didnt work...the ses light came back and the same code was there...
Replace your knock sensor, it is a 10-15 dollar part, and not too hard to install from under the car, remember our cars are really picky and need to be in top shape to run right... :drinking:
thanks ill do that....hopefully it fixes it becuase before this i was excited about it finally running right and then it turns around and slaps the shit outta me lol... :D
Almost every time after I got mine running did something else break. PS pump, then after that was fixed the clutch M\C, then the clutch started acting up, then yesterday when I was leaving for work the battery was dead for no reason. They make you work for the love.
yeah my battery has been dying for no reason to wtf
Well, once so far it was because of the PMIII, I don't know if this happens to everyone, but if I hit the brakes after the car is shut off, it will keep the brake lights on. It only happens once in a great while, but that is the cause some times. If it happens just tap the brakes a few times until it shuts off.
huh ill have to look into that....my
Now don't go replacing that knock sensor when the engine is hot. Cuz I think if you remove the knock sensor your going to burn the heck out of your face. Not too sure. Let the engine get cold and then drain the coolant..
I don't know if the PMIII is anything like the 87 T-bird Turbo's brakes...SOme times after turning off the car, the motor on the power brakes stayed on. It was a sticking relay that caused it. You might want to check your relay on your PM.
You don't need to drain the coolant, it does NOT go into the water jacket! :drinking:
thanks idbeast saved me some time with that one
you're welcome!! :drinking:
