Title: Moates G1 adapter
Post by: god910 on September 23, 2003, 02:04:37 AM
So the G1 adapter is on it's way.  I didn't realize what the G3 was until Mick fully explained it later.  Anyway, in the pics on Craig's site it shows the adapter hooked up and in the ECM.  However it shows the MEMCAL has been chopped in half to separate the chip and the knock circuit.  Is it just as simple as cutting the end off.  That just looks flat scary and wanted to make sure I was seeing it right.
P.S. Craig told me that whenever I am ready I can send the G1 back and pay the $20 diff. and get the G3.  He just doesn't want me going too fast too soon.  Seems like a hella nice guy.  Thanks for the help.

It's an adapter board so that you don't have to remove the eprom from the memcal. You still use the original memcal for limp/esc, but the adapter lets you piggyback a new eprom.  Moates adapters are nice because they use a ZIF.   8)  :D

Any more info on this?  I think I might have to get one.
