Title: power steering fluid leak
Post by: tyroelite on September 29, 2003, 12:54:29 PM
My PSF seems to be leaking out the top from under the cap. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a way to fix it? THe cap seems tight but maybe a replacement would fix the problem?

Try replacing the cap    If it's not the cap, then it may be the pump seal. I've had to replace that on both my LE and TGP already.  8)

Mine was leaking from the pump seal, it wouldn't leak cold (In 90* weather but sitting overnight) I replaced the pump and all is well.  The fluid loves to hit the belt and splatter when it hits the louvre.

Yes it does. I had to wash my engine off a few times to get it clean again. It's about a $10 fix though..if you have a pump pulley puller :D ;)

a pump pulley puller you say?... definately don't have one of them in my tool kit. I'll have to see what I can do to replace it.
