Title: Adjusting the E-Brake
Post by: LukeZ34 on October 02, 2003, 07:49:10 AM
Exactly as the subject states, I need to know how to adjust the E-Brake.
I changed rear pads and rotors, and now the E-brake can be pumped fully twice, and it doesn't hold the car. How do I adjust this so the car doesn't decide to roll down the driveway someday!

Arent you supposed to hit the brakes hard in reverse to "auto adjust?"

Not on discs. Is the piston completely out. I don't remember the exactl procedure, but if the Pbrake worked before the brake service, it shouldn't need adjusting. I would guess the pistons are having an issue and won't extend with the parking brake actuation.
