I got a question about cutting my exaust off...
will it make my car run shitty...
will it sound good...

does anyone have an audio I could hear with a tgp with NO exhaust...
What do you mean when you say cut your exhaust off? Are you saying you want to eliminate the cat and mufflers and just run straight pipe or are you saying you want to unbolt it from the exhaust manifold and just leave it at that?

lol..I hope he doesn't mean that...If I were you majestic, I would just cut the stock mufflers off and run piping in their respective places, it will be a bit on the loud side and sound pretty decent, you might want to invest in some resonated tips as they tend to give the exhaust a clearer sound from what I've witnessed, on the TGP my dad has, it has a high flow catalytic converter and a resonator after the y-pipe, the stock mufflers have been removed, it sounds very nice in my opinion, not really all that loud, but you can hear it inside/outside the car enough, it has a mean sounding low growl to it. w/ absolutely no exhaust, it would sound very shitty and probably pop like there's no tomorrow, I ran w/ open downpipe on my 88 Volvo 740 turbo once(2.3 4cyl engine w/ a T3 garrett turbo) and it was loud as hell, almost too loud to stand driving it far.
EDIT: I'll get a clip of the exhaust on the TGP by next weekend for you to hear. I've got a clip of my 93 GP w/ nothing but 2.5'' SS mandrel bent piping and a 30 series flowmaster if you're interested(it doesn't do the exhaust justice as it was maxing out the microphone when I revved it)..I could email it to you, it's right at 1mb...I also have a clip of the volvo but it doesn't sound that great(sounds raspier on the clip than it actually was  )..let me know if you're interested in hearing either.
uh, yeah, a little more specific.
If you were to eliminate ALL the exhaust, i would say it would sound kinda bad. But I doubt it would make it run worse, should be better.
There are sound clips of various exhausts on my website
oops...
I ment NO MUFFLERZ...
there a topic about removing your mufflerz here...

I just want to know how they would sound...
Did you find the sound clips? Under galleries and sounds.
sounds great
Ive got straightpipes and it sounds tits.
ill upload some sound files tonight.
its not too loud, but you can deff hear and feel the car coming. very intimidating at all revs and the intake whine makes it even better. I get compliments on my cars sound constantly.
its cool but it starts to get annoying
does anyone have an exhaust cutout installed?
listen to my old TGP here.
most are recorded under the hood, but damn the thing sounded even better outside the car. I was trying to get the turbo sound recorded more, but the exhaust is still there.

do your have a BOV? it sounds like when you let off the gas the exhaust pulse is slamming against the compressor wheel.
no BOV, that sound is compressor surge. Its deflected air charge blasting off the closed throttle plate and hitting the compressor fan and out the intake. its not great for the turbo but on the TGP its not really a problem with automatics as long as you dont do it at WOT.
the sound is noticable on any TGP once you put a cone filter on the turbo inlet. Ive noticed it on GNs and turbo Dodges with auto trannies as well.
