Post by: m6amba on November 16, 2003, 10:15:51 AM
my friend got one of the fast forward performance poly enginemounts for his lumina 3.4 and it made a big difference for him..... so i wanted to get a set for my car....however my engine is out of the car and my mechanic told me that my lower engine mounts could be replaced with poly ones eassier now than later so  i want to get these first then get the upper ones later......does anybody know where i can get a set of lower polyurethane engine mounts???????????????

As far as I know they don't make poly lower mounts for our cars. If you find them let me know.

Its not really the rubber thats the problem. The main engine mount on the TGP  is filled with a thick goo. Its a hydraulic motor mount. I'm not sure how much would be gained from making this more solid than it is as it doesn't absorb any real torsional load. Other car platform mounts keep the motor from twisting so the would benefit from being more durable. Thats why the dogbones make such an improvement when you switch to poly. It will also be kinda tough to slave the motor when doing service work to the back.
