Heres a good one. I am no genius, this happened by accident. while screwing around with the PM unit. I had some brake fluid sitting by the header panel. Lo and behold it spills over but i catch it before it hits the paint but not before some spills on the fog lamp. I wipe it off with a cloth and presto! the yellow haze disappears. So now i do this to the other one and poof yellow all gone. My lights were fine so i did not do them. Naturally I go nuts with the stuff and do the headlights on my friends mustang poof yellow gone. Ya might think I am nuts, I really dont know if this is old news, but i had got excited off this one. I can stop looking for a set of clear fogs. try it out :)
Some of the best ideas are found by accident! Good job and thanks for the info! Brake fluid is supposed to have some sort of rubber protective properties to it, so maybe it works on restoring the plastic.
that's awesome! I used to soak model cars in brake fluid to get the paint off. I am going to do my lightbar as soon as it's warm.
:)
See how long it lasts...1 week or 1 month...bottle the brake fluid up under another label and sell it on ebay. Never know...could take off like wildfire!!
I will keep you guys posted on how long it lasts
Hmm.. that's an idea worth trying.
My glass headlights look wonderful, but the slightly yellowed fog lights next to them don't look so good next to them.

Glass headlights...did you put those on?
Yes they are glass ones. I dont know if they were replaced with some other type. I really did not know if the TGP's came with the plastic lenses to be suspicious. Now that you have raised that question I have become suspicious. :? The fogs are plastic though.
My 90 TGP has plastic head lgihts, at least untill I throw in the glass lights from my 89 SE. I think all the 89's had glass, and the 90's up were plastic.

Some TGP's headlight bezels came with Glass...some came with plastic. Seems that the 1989's had more glass than the 1990's. I am almost positive that all Fog lenses are plastic...no glass ones where made!... 8)

Nope. Late 90's production. Don't have a specific date. I've only seen a couple. Maybe we could run a poll. Those of you with or that had plastic headlights post your build date from the door.
I have a 90 andI am almost postive it has Glass. I will have to check this weekend when I go work on it in storge.
