what model is the turbocharger on the TGP considered??? T3,T4,T25....I am looking for a rebuild cartridge and i need to know this info. Does anyone know of any good websites to order replacement parts from?
It should be casted right into the turbo housing what model the turbo is. On the TGP they came with a T-25 on it... 8)
Thanks I thought thats what it was but wasn't 100% sure.
yes they came with a t-25 stock but for the price of a rebuild kit you might as well get turbochargers.com to make it a t-28 they are based in TX and are doingmine right now cant wait to get it back to see how big a difference it makes cost 700 $
M6 is that a ball bearing t-28. Just wondering. and keep us posted how it does once you get in there.
thanks KCP
not a ball bearing............... wish it was though

m6amba, I'am the guy in Houston with the t28 I got it from them. It's a GT28 Twin ball bearing. a/r 60, ex a/r62, air flow 42# min and it is flat scary at 9 1/2#.
Far as I can go without some chip work. Half again the hp than the t25 with the waste gate wired shut reading 16#.
Your spending 700, What are you getting a new exhaust and center cartage? For another 175 you can get the bigger compressor also. I would talk to them a little more about what they have to offer. If you retain the t25 compressor your defeating your purpose.
There's a thread on W-Body that describes with pictures how to put one of these in, its under begging for speed.
Just thought I would give you something to chew on since you are already spending 700 bucks. Regardless if you have a t28 turbin you will have to go through some of the stuff on that thread.
Hope this helps and doesen't confuse the issue.

hey jud, funny that you should be on here too...... anyway i am gettin the t-28 compressor and turbine both sides the whole darn thing is gonna be bigger so did you get it dynoed after wards? i will be runnin with topgun chip and 12 lbs
Yea I am on here. I lurk wherever there's V6 info especially turbo. :)
No haven't dynoed it yet. Want to do some chip work and bigger injectors before I do.
12# is about as high as I can go with this turbo without more fuel.
Glad your getting both sides. You won't be disapointed. I have the GT28bb Nissan Style. Did you look at how to put it in. Not bad. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Enjoy, I sure am. :D

I'm thinking of gettting a GT28R, it has a .64 a/r turbine, but I can't seem to find the other specs at the moment. It's only $775 from ATP, which is a great price. I really want a GT28RS(aka disco potato), it has the new NS111 turbine wheel which is supposed to flow some crazy numbers. I might go with that one as it's price dropped to $1,100.
Hot potato!..hot potato!....LOL...So tempting...
