Title: WILL GPT wheels work on STE??
Post by: florida_tgp on December 13, 2003, 06:38:58 PM
Does anybody know if stock wheels from 1999 GTP will work on 90 STE?
with or without some sort of spacers or adapters

From what I've read on the forums they will fit.  The bolt pattern should be the same (5x115).  The offset is a little different but not so much that it isn't going to work.  One day I'd like to take my wheels off of my GTP and try them on my Turbo just to see what it would look like.   :D

if you're talking about the 5stars(torque stars..not the broad 5 spokes), then they will not fit on the front, they will require spacers and longer/stronger studs to work on the front or "adapters" will need to be made to fit them, they fit the rears fine. I have no clue about the second gen crosslaces or the broader 5spoke wheels though.

97+ wheels WILL NOT fit on pre-97 cars. The offset is wrong. It doesn't matter what style you use...none of them fit...at least not on the front.
Title: thanks

I guess I won't be trying my GTP wheels on my Turbo after all.   Thanks for that info.
