Title: 105 Amp Delco Remy Alternators.
Post by: MonteSSgtp on January 12, 2004, 06:14:39 PM
Ok These are 2 delco remy Alternators rated at 105 Amps? Does anyone know if this is the alternator that comes in the 3.4 DOHC?
I cant find parts # on either to match them up.

CS130 - 105 Amp 84-93
CS130d- 105 amps 94+

I wanted a stronger alternator in my 3.4 DOHC, I was lookin at the CS130 but i think they came stock in 3.4 DOHC if anyone knows anything bout this let me know beforei make a 200$ mistake.

Yup, the GM alternators of our era are legandary for that heat issue, causing pre-mature death.  That's why I like Iceberg's version of our alternators.  They have the OEM 105 amp version, and a beefed up 140 amp.  :D   They've also addressed the heat issue with a custom casing that have fins to disapate the heat better, + they use heavy duty parts that hold up to the demands put on it better than those cheap-o Autozone type rebuilds.
