Alright guys though I'd make a new topic for all of this discussion. We can start playing around with ideas for logos, stickers, etc.. I know of some car shows and things around the area where we could get off the ground as a group. Also some racing events at GLD and Byron we could get involved in. Although I think my car would be better off at the race events because I really wouldn't call my car show worthy with the fading paint and somewhat dirty interior. Lets get a list of people who want in on this and then we can set up a time to meet up. If nothing else we could all meet up at the Chicago Grand Prix Clubs Mod Day on April 3rd. Also on April 4th I'm going down to Byron Dragway for opening weekend to get a time on my car before the mods begin.
I'm in! I'm in! Just let me know when so I can ask for days off in advance. Whenever works for me. In the mean time, I have something special planned for the windshield (general, not Chicago TGP related). I'll show everyone a pic when it's done in case anyone else wants one. First priority is to get these things running in tip top shape.
Plan on going to the April 3rd Mod meet for the Chicago club that they are having. They want to see TGP's they are in love with them. Hopefully maybe you can have your TGP up by then whether it be the two door or four door. You could bring the four door since you got one and I'll bring my two door. On April 4th for the dragway you can come if you want. Me and a group of my friends are just gonna go to run for times. I think though like I say make April 3rd a priority.
Well, the TSTE is running ok right now. I've been using it the last 2 weeks. Will be even better after the crossover fix. I don't know about running any quarter miles, though, since I still can't push the pedal without it over boosting and cutting me off. That's REALLY annoying!
Mine did that to it would boost and then cut out. The shop I took it to did something with it and now it doesn't do that anymore. It's crazy. What do you have in it for an air cleaner? Stock or aftermarket? If its stock it could just be that you have a clamp loose. Thats all it took for mine to do it when I had the stocker in there.

Has it always done that, or did it just start recently. I have had many experiences of diffrerent things that have caused my STE and my dads TGP to do this. The things it could be are:
Vacuum Line came disconnected at the Turbo
Vacuum Line came disconnected at the wastegate
either Vacuum line came disconnected at the boost controller
the boost controller is broken, or has been modified for higher boost
you have a restriction in the exhaust (plugged cat for instance)
the air intake came off somewhere.
Just some things I would look into if I were you, because it could easily be something simple. My dad drove his TGP for 5 months before being able to get on the gas more than halfway because he didn't know someone had drilled a hole in the boost controller for more boost. $7.11 later for a new boost controller and the car runs great as ever!

I am in as well. One problem is I won't be here the weekend of April 3rd. I am going on vacation for two weeks. But when ever the next event let me know. I should have the TGP down here by the end of April, it is in Michigan in storage. Just keep me updated.

No prob KCP!! We are having our annual wheels festival in downtown Belvidere sometime in June I believe. I'll have to get an exact date on that one. That would be the next event to shoot for. I'm also putting up a website for the new club as well. So whoever joins up I'm gonna have to get some digital photographs of you and your car so I can put them up on there. Also I have some other things up my sleeve to do but just don't have exact dates yet. Will keep everybody updated. Also if you guys think of things to do in the area shout out. The more we can do the better.
Sounds great. I will try to get some pics of the car next I am up in Michigan and pass them to you. June sounds good as well for a show.

Hey for you guys that might want to make some runs down the strip GLD is having free race nights April 6th 7th and 9th from 6pm to 10pm and the 10th from 10am to 5pm. It would be a good event to attend and the best part of it all is that its free. If you guys want to go let me know which night would be the best so we can all go at the same time. And also 6000ste/awd if your car is having the overboost problems maybe we can take care of them there. Are you going to be going to the Chicago Grand Prix Club mod day? It would be really nice to have the 4 door TGP there as well.
Yeah, I'm gonna' try like hell to be there. I went to the ILGPC mod day a couple Saturdays ago, and got the fuel injectors off my spare TGP motor cleaned. I'd like to get those thrown in, but I wanted to get all new replacement vacuum lines, so I could take care of it all at once while the plenum was off. I'd also like to replace the FPR while the rail is off. I'm not much for waiting around for parts to break, or be completely dead before I replace them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D Think you could give me a hand getting the crossover pipe off the red TGP sometime before then? I'd like to get that one repaired, swap it out with the TSTE one, and then get the TSTE one repaired to go back into the red TGP. My spare motor didn't come with one.
Also, anyone near by got a dremel tool who can drill out the dogbones for some poly bushings for me? I have a someone offering to do them for me on the w-body board, but then I gotta' pay to send it to him, and pay to have them shipped back, too. If I can get it done locally, that would be great.
It's not actually "free" to race at Great Lakes Dragaway on opening week. It's normal spectator price (it was $12 the past few years) and no ADDITIONAL fee to Race.
I doubt my TGP will be race track ready before May, but I may be up for something this summer. Keep me posted!
