Title: hook up a transmission temperature gauge
Post by: no1kicker on March 19, 2004, 12:07:26 AM
I was thinking of mounting the sensor right next to the tranny cooler.  Would this be accurate enough or should I go as close to the tranny as possible.

Best bet is to place it in a line in the direction of fluid exiting the tranny, so you can capture the temperature of the hottest fluid.  Might have to do some experimenting or research to determine which lines pass fluid in which direction.  I can think of at least 1 method I won't recommend which involves temporarily disconnecting the lines to determine which one blasts fluid..
